A supermassive black hole (SMBH) is a type of black hole, with its mass being on the order of millions to billions of times the mass of the Sun
Observational evidence indicates that almost every large galaxy has a supermassive black hole at its center. For example, the Milky Way has a supermassive black hole in its Galactic Center, corresponding to the radio source Sagittarius A*.
Two supermassive black holes have been directly imaged by the Event Horizon Telescope: the black hole in the giant elliptical galaxy Messier 87 and the black hole at the Milky Way’s center.

An intermediate-mass black hole (IMBH) is a class of black hole with a mass in the range of 10^2–10^5 solar masses: significantly more than stellar black holes but less than the 10^5–10^9 solar mass of supermassive black holes. Several IMBH candidate objects have been discovered in our galaxy and others nearby, based on indirect gas cloud velocity and accretion disk spectra observations of various evidentiary strengths.

A stellar black hole (or stellar-mass black hole) is a black hole formed by the gravitational collapse of a star. They have masses ranging from about 5 to several tens of solar masses The process is observed as a hypernova explosion or as a gamma-ray burst.. These black holes are also referred to as collapsars.

Micro black holes also called mini black holes or quantum mechanical black holes, are hypothetical tiny black holes, for which quantum mechanical effects play an important role. this was introduced in 1971 by Stephen Hawking. It is possible that such black holes were created in the high-density environment of the early Universe , or possibly through subsequent phase transitions They might be observed by astrophysicists through the particles they are expected to emit by Hawking radiation
However, such quantum black holes would instantly evaporate.
