In 7 simultaneous press conferences around the world, the Event Horizon Telescope team will make a major announcement of results from their collaborative study of the Sagittarius A* (pronounced “A Star”) supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way galaxy.

In 2019, the EHT team famously released the first-ever image of the “shadow of the event horizon” around the supermassive black hole at the center of M87.
