Do you know, according to NASA there could be as many as 10 million to a billion stellar black holes in the Milky Way. And finally, on 12 May, 2022 Event Horizon telescope have made a major breakthrough in astronomy by managing to take a picture of Sagittarius A*, the enormous supermassive black hole that resides in the center of the Milky Way galaxy, confirming its status as a black hole. But how? Because, a large part of the mystery surrounding black holes is due to the fact that we can’t see them, which itself is because light cannot escape, therefore we can’t see the light from it. So, how is it even possible to click an image of an object without light?? Let’s find out!
